The Old Navy Try On
Ok, so I did my first try on. I was super nervous and didn’t really have a game plan going into Old Navy. I prepped by having my favorite Friday treat/lunch – the bacon gouda sandwich from Starbucks with the Iced Skinny Vanilla Latte. I walked in and was immediately overwhelmed. First of all, Old Navy is not how I remember it. They have some seriously cute stuff, y’all. No wonder all the bloggers were all over Old Navy last fall – I had no idea! It was REALLY hard determining what to pick out because so much of the clothing items were super cute. Of course, I am naturally drawn to dresses, so I really had to try to mix it up to give y’all a little flavor of everything. By the end of my walk through the women’s section, my arms were so tired from holding all of the clothing (like moreso than holding a baby throughout and entire Catholic mass.) I walked into the dressing room and just got started. The music was on and loud (check stories to hear some Mariah Carey) and it ended up being so much fun! The style I went with is more beach/vacay/relaxed look. There are some great items in here (and at a reasonable price) for your next vacation, brunch, or just lounging around the house 🙂
I’m glad I got my first try on session over with because I learned so much just from this one, and now I know how I can do things differently. Enjoy!
Info: I am 5’2″ and wear the following sizes – Dress: small, Shorts: 2, Tops: small, Swimmy: small, Gingham pants: 2. I did think some of the tops were loose, baggy, so if you like a tighter fit, maybe try going down a size.
Look 1
This dress is super similar to my J. Crew dress that I love – and WAY CHEAPER! It might be hard to tell, but this one is navy and white.
Look 2
Memorial Day and July 4th are coming up soon – red, white, and blue!
Look 3
This mix and match set has so many options (look below in widget.) Not only are there many options for style choices, but color options as well – polka dot, gingham, watermelon, solid colors, stripes, etc.
Look 4
You know another one of obssessions right now is gingham – so PINK + GINGHAM = yes please!
Look 5
Takin’ it back to denim skirts 🙂
Look 6
Such a pretty sundress – I felt like I should be running through a sunflower field – or a vineyard 🙂
Look 7
This tee is super super soft – would be perfect for sunburned shoulders when you don’t want anything strappy digging in. AND, I wanted to point out these shorts are 5″ shorts – which I really liked.
Look 8
“Oh please, hand me my drink, dear,” said the woman from the deck of her boat.
Look 9
This was in my stories and one of my faves!
Look 10
I wasn’t the most comfortable in these shorts – they are 3″ inseam which is a little too short for me, but I wanted to share because they are super cute.
Look 11
Not sure if I am a farmer or gardener, but either way, I’m digging these overalls! These would also be super cute to wear over a bathing suit.
Look 12
A classic white button down is a must. This one is lightweight and would be perfect for the bay or beach. The shorts are linen and can be dressed up (like this) or down with a tank/tee.
Check my stories later in the day to see what I ended up buying – Cheers – MP
