The February Review
“Why does February feel like one big Tuesday?”― Todd Stocker
Part 2: February
Wow! The month of March was insane, which meant I never got around to posting the February Review. To be honest, February seems like a lifetime ago. I was still going to work and the twins had events like every single weekend! Fast forward to March, and NADA! But, we’ll get to that in the next post.
I’m writing this review slightly different than the others – I’m writing more of a journal style. Each month when I write these reviews, I use the pictures on my phone to guide me through the events of the month. I also like to use these as my own way of remembering things that happen, and hope that one day the twins can look back on them and see what all we did.
It is also a way for me to review collabs and share my top selling items; however, with Amazon not giving stats to RewardStyle anymore, it’s gotten to be a challenge. A lot of the items I link are from Amazon, so it’s difficult to know what sells and what doesn’t. All I see in my Analytics is a line item that says “Amazon (US)” with a dollar amount – no other detail.
With that said, here we go – February 2020
Mom’s Birthday at Le Colonial
We started the month off with my Mom’s 60th Birthday. To celebrate, we told her just our family was going to eat at Le Colonial, but when she got there, she realized it was more than just family. We invited her friends as well!
Mommy & Me Party with Brandy from MyBrandNewLife
Savannah and I were invited to a Frozen themed party for Brandy’s daughter. It was so much fun, and Savannah loved the soft play area and coloring station. And y’all, isn’t that tent set up the cutest? I wanted to crawl in and take a nap!
Kendra Scott Galentine’s Event
This is probably the most awesome thing that blogging has allowed me to do. I partnered with Kendra Scott to host a Galentine’s Event on February 13 with 20% of the proceeds going to Dress for Success! You got to make your own floral arrangement and write an encouraging note to the ladies at Dress for Success with purchase. The balloon garland was done by the one and only Tiffany from Glamfetti. This was truly such a special event to me. I have been working so hard to create this community of women and knowing that I could use this platform to help those in need was a moment that I will always remember. One of my goals for ToasttoPost.com is to be able to do more events like this and give back even more.
My Rachel Parcell dress is sold out, but here, here, here, and here are similar styles.
Katy Moms Network Play Date
The gals at Katy Moms Network hosted a playdate one Saturday morning at the First United Methodist Church in Katy. The twins loved the soft play set up and riding in the cars! What I loved about this, is the entire area was FENCED IN! There were cookies to decorate, face painting, and all the fun playground toys, including little wooden houses!
Lunch Date at Hat Creek Burger
If you haven’t tried Hat Creek Burgers yet, you are missing out. A) the burgers are delicious! 2) there is a huge playground area C) did I mention the burgers are delicious? My mom and I took the twins to the one in Fulshear for lunch, and they had so much fun; however, word of warning – we got there early and luckily we did, because by the time we were getting ready to leave, all of the “big” kids were running around and were just a little too big and aggressive for the tots….oh and this must have been right when the Coronavirus was bad in China, because the game they were playing was tag, but with a twist. When they would tag each other, they would yell out, “You’re the infector!” SMH……
Mardi Gras Parade at School
The twins were not a fan. I’ll just leave it at that.
Go Texan Day
Go Texan Day is the day Texans dress in their Texan gear as part of the kick off to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo! The twins had a petting zoo and pony rides at school, but it was not a parent activity so I didn’t get to attend and have no pics; however, they did say they were ALL ABOUT the petting zoo but not so sure of the ponies 🙂
Fulshear Farmer’s Market
I’m always looking for ways to be out and about with the twins. The Fulshear Farmer’s Market is close and easy to get to. Not only are we out of the house, but buying locally sourced products and support small businesses is important to me. From veggies to jelly to small animals and FRESH EGGS, this farmer’s market has it all. And there is a fun little play area, too.
