The Nordstrom Sale | Favorites

The Nordstrom Sale is the perfect time to grab some of your fall and winter essentials at a discounted price. I’ve seen a lot of posts and conversations on Instagram where people are basically saying they don’t understand the hype behind the Nordstrom Sale, because the prices are still soooooo expensive. Well, that is true to some extent. You’re not going to find a pair of Stuart Weitzman boots for $100. They are on sale for $550, but the after sale price is $850, so if that was in your price range, it would be a very nice discount (don’t worry, they are not in the guide below 🙂 ) There are plenty of boots and booties that are under $100 and could rival an Amazon price, but I also think that as a society, we’ve become so accustomed to wanting quantity over quality. We just want more, more, more, instead of finding a higher quality product and wearing/using it multiple times.

I’ve created this guide for you and listed some of my FAVORITE things I look forward to buying year after year: jeans, activewear, jackets for the twins, etc. I will be publishing a workwear guide in the next few days that will focus only on workwear and outfit planning – enjoy and happy shopping!

Moonlight Pajamas | Shorts |Pants |Nightshirt

These super soft pajamas are a favorite year after year. Made with 95% modal and 5% spandex, they have the perfect amount of stretch and are lightweight enough to wear during the summer months. I wear an XS in these and think they run a tad big. I have the shorts and pants and plan on ordering the nightshirt in leopard this year.

Shorts: Sale Price $29.90 | After $49

Pants: Sale Price $42.90| After $65

Nightshirt: Sale Price $29.90| After $49

Hunter First Classic Rain Boots

The classic and iconic Hunter rain boot is sure to make its way into your rotation as we enter the fall and winter months. With a removable insole and easy to pull on, the kids will be able to easily wear them throughout the year!

Navy: Sale $36.90 | After $60

Glitter: Sale $36.90 | After $60

Pink Leopard: Sale $36.90 | After $60

The North Face Jackets

The twins wear their fleecezip up jackets to school pretty much every day during the cold months – which is why I’ve never second guessed buying them a “name brand” item with a slightly higher price point than something you would find on Amazon or at Target or Old Navy. Other than shoes, their jackets are something they get the MOST wear out of, so I definitely want a good quality product.

Activewear

I don’t buy a lot of activewear throughout the year, but always try to snag a few pieces during this sale. I’ve become a huge fan of Zella and for good reason – it’s a good quality product that fits well and makes me feel comfortable and confident while working out. This year, I’m excited to try out some of the IVL Collective pieces (did you see that scalloped hot pink!!)

Caslon

If you’ve followed me for even the shortest amount of time, you know my obsession with Caslon t-shirts is real. This year, while adding a few tees to my collection, I also feel like being adventurous and grabbing the sweater and cardigan below – perfect for returning to the office!

Rounded V-Neck T-Shirt: Sale $12.90 | After $19

Long Sleeve Crewneck T-Shirt: Sale $17.90 | After $29

High/Low V-Neck Sweater: Sale $39.90 | After $69

Patch Pocket Cardigan: Sale $45.90 | After $69

Jeans

I am a firm believer that you should have at least one pair of really good, high-quality jeans in your closet. I discovered AG a few years ago during the Nordstrom sale and try to buy a pair every year. They are good quality, cut from premium denim, and made to wear throughout the seasons.

AG: Sale $149.90 | After $225

Booties

This is also the perfect time to add a pair of boots or booties to your collection. Vince Camuto is one of my favorite brands for boots, with Steve Madden and Marc Fisher up there as well.

Happy shopping! Be on the look out for another guide focused more on work wear in the next few days! Cheers – MP
