|The Monday Post| #35 – The Products I’m Currently Loving Edit

“Beauty is not caused. It is.” Emily Dickinson

Since it’s the first day of fall, I figured I’d do something a little different. Today, I’m sharing some of my favorite products with you that I have come to love. Some are old, some are new, but either way, I truly think every one of these products has a major benefit to using it. These are my tried and true favorite products (well, some are accessories) that you need in your life. Like now. So get to scrolling 🙂

Gel Cleanser

I just recently started using a gel cleanser and am obsessed with it. You gently rub in a small amount onto dry skin and wash off with a warm wash cloth followed by a final rinse with warm water. The gel dissolves make up, daily grime and pollutants, which leaves you with smooth, moisturized, and renewed skin.

Probiotic

I detail all the reasons why I love this probiotic in THIS POST, but here is the basic idea: healthy gut, healthy life, and immune system support.

Chanel Lipstick

Every fall, I order one tube of this color of lipstick in Cassis. It is the perfect fall go to lipstick, and once I use the entire tube, then I’m done for the year. It’s become a yearly tradition to order just this one tube.

Native Deodorant & Body Wash

I started wearing Native deodorant a few months back and have been very pleased with it. They offer seasonal and classic scents that really do leave you smelling fresh all day long. One thing to keep in mind about deodorants that do not contain aluminum – you might sweat a little bit, and sometimes it balls up. All it takes is a little pat down with some toilet paper and you’ll be fine. The body wash was an add on in my last purchase and I love it. It’s sulfate free, derived from coconut oil, and moisturizing.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

I’ve tried a lot of dry shampoos and I dislike a lot of dry shampoos. But, recently I’m really loving Batiste. It’s easy to find – Amazon, Target, Wal-Greens and super cheap. It leaves you feeling and smelling fresh all day and it doesn’t leave a gross residue in my hair.

Billie Razor

I was skeptical on the billie razor because it seemed like a fad that would fade out soon. But then I saw it on the Skimm and figured I would give it a try. It’s a good razor, affordable, and delivered to your doorstep. Oh, and you get to choose which color handle you like – I picked Dream Pop. Also, the coolest thing of all is this little magnetic holder that sticks to your shower wall. I know, I’m a skeptic when it comes to those sorts of things because they never work, but this one does.

They’re Real! Mascara

I’ve been a fan of this for years now. It lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts, and separates for that ultimate glam girl look. And you can always grab some in the airport in the Benefit vending machines 🙂

Chanel Toner and Foundation

The absolute best foundation ever. End of story. It’s lightweight and lasts all day. I put this on at 5:15 am and it still looks good when I get home in the evenings. It leaves a powder soft finish and smooths uneven skin. Before applying, I always use the Chanel toner to make sure my face is completely clean before applying foundation.

Beauty Bio GloPro

I’ve talked about the GloPro many times before. I bought it during the #NSale two years ago and have been a glogetter ever since. This microneedling regeneration tool has 540 stainless steel microneedles that when they pass over your skin, your cells respond by creating new collagen and restoring skin’s volume. Use immediately before using skin care products to allow the products to get deep into the layers of your skin.

Aveeno Body Lotion

I like this particular lotion because it dries in seconds. I’m not sure if this is a type of skin, but my skin seems to take forever for lotion to dry. With this lotion, it doesn’t. It literally absorbs in seconds. I don’t sweat it off during the day (unless it’s really, really hot) and it doesn’t make me sticky. This has been my go to moisturizer for years.

Scrunchie

So no technically a product, but I just bought this 3 pack of scrunchies from Old Navy and wore one yesterday…..out in public. And I didn’t feel weird. Just slightly like I was back in 8th grade, but not weird at all. Like all things, the scrunchie has returned.

Tarteist Palatte

This is a story about a girl who wandered into a Sephora one Friday afternoon without really knowing what she wanted. Fast forward one hour, and out she walks with $250 worth of Tarte products (there must have been some incentive to sell Tarte products that day.) Out of all of them, this palette has been my favorite. I love putting glam on my eyelids, vamp in the corners, classic right under my eyebrows, and edgy in my eyebrows. Also, since I’m not huge into the pinks and brighter colors, they can also double as blush.

Aesop Hand Balm

I change a lot, repeat A LOT of diapers. I wash my hands about 600 times daily and use ridiculous amounts of hand sanitizer (side note: new mamas, buy the gignatic jugs of hand sanitizer from Costco or Sam’s. Ditch the pretty-looking-smell-good Bath and Body Works ones and save them for a special occasion. You will go through too much of this stuff to waste your good stuff.) With that said, your hands will be dry. Mine were almost peeling at one point. The second I put this balm on my hands, it’s almost like immediate relief. It’s moisturizing and has an incredible botanical smell that is also somewhat relaxing. I apply every night before bed.

blendSmart

This is not your normal make up brush. This brush is the first powered rotating makeup brush that delivers an even foundation blend and allows you to use less foundation. I can tell a huge difference when I apply my foundation with this brush as opposed to other foundation brushes.

ROC Eye Cream

I honestly believe this stuff works. I apply every morning before foundation and concealer and I swear it helps smooth my wrinkles and helps with any puffiness and dark circles. And let me tell you, this tired mama needs all the help she can get 🙂

I hope you come to enjoy these products as much as I do!

Cheers – MP
