The Weekend Post 5

Episode 5 – Easter Weekend

I hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend with family and friends. I am in El Campo at my parents’ house and just can’t get over how different this year is than last year on Easter weekend!

Save This For Next Year

I wish I would have seen this sooner. The SweetCarolineDesigns Instagram page is quickly becoming one of my favorites! And when I saw these crosses made out of flowers, I immediately saved and took a screenshot to remember for next year! They are just absolutely beautiful!

Book On My Radar – Firefly Lane

Kristin Hannah is also the author of The Nightingale which is an incredible WWII story told from the point of view of two sisters in war-torn France. Firefly Lane is an older novel, but one that I have not had the pleasure of reading and I have already added to my audible Library.

Excerpt from Audible: “Firefly Lane is for anyone who ever drank Boone’s Farm apple wine while listening to Abba or Fleetwood Mac. More than a coming-of-age novel, it’s the story of a generation of women who were both blessed and cursed by choices. It’s about promises and secrets and betrayals. And ultimately, about the one person who really, truly knows you – and knows what has the power to hurt you…and heal you. Firefly Lane is a story you’ll never forget…one you’ll want to pass on to your best friend.”

J.Crew Factory Sale

I posted about this in my stories, but this sale is so good it is worth sharing again. 50% off plus an additional 20% when you spend $100 and use code GOODIES.

Easter Weekend Tip

Find a local florist or grocery store and buy some fresh flowers. Bring them to your Mom, Grandma, or give to yourself. I literally bought a $5 bouquet of tulips from Wal-Mart yesterday afternoon and they are just so pretty to look at. Local El Campo peeps: they are part of the cookie display on the grocery side. They had pink and white options. The best time to buy tulips is when they are closed up tight just like these and I love watching them slowly open up over time.

Have a wonderful weekend! While things are still different this year, they are much better than last year! Have a Happy Easter and Cheers! – MP
