What’s On My Registry

When I first started working on the baby registry, around 14 weeks, I reached out to friends and family and coworkers asking for their recommendations, and I am so thankful for the detailed advice they gave.  I received lists with screen shots, links, what worked for their babies, what didn’t, etc.  I literally had no idea how much stuff you needed for a baby, let alone two.  Seriously, no idea.  I’ve grown up around babies – two younger brothers, younger cousins I babysat for, etc.  But my job was always to watch them for a few hours, feed and bathe them, and make sure they got to sleep ok – the most I ever dealt with was warming up milk, a bottle, paci, changing diapers, etc. – the “normal” stuff.  But when I started on the registry, I realized you need everything from infant car seats with the correct bases to toddler car seats, clothes – onesies, sleepers, gowns, socks, hats, mittens, soooooo many diapers, changing tables, cribs, bedding for the crib, pacis, bottles, strollers – yes, strollers with an s, multiple strollers for multiple reasons, pack-n-play vs. playard, thermometer, bath toys, towels, hygiene products…..including butt paste, and SO.MUCH.MORE.  I literally sat down and spent almost an entire weekend weekend working on the registry, and continued modifying it as needed.

I registered at Buy Buy Baby and Amazon, and quickly realized people LOVE buying from Amazon.  I had most of my registry on Buy Buy Baby, but had to keep moving items from BBB to Amazon (especially once the baby shower invites went out.)  Both registries have pros and cons, and both worked out wonderfully for me.

Below, you’ll find some of the items on my registry.  I can’t yet say how these items work for me, because I haven’t exactly used them yet, BUT……I have high hopes 🙂  I spent a lot of time researching these products and sifting through pages of e-mails and texts from friends and family, so I feel pretty confident in my final choices.  Now, T and I just have to figure out how to use all of these items.

Some of the items not pictured above are bottles, burp cloths, hygeine products here, here, and here, breast feeding products for self and baby, various swaddles, hooded towels, and onesies, walkers, changing pads, and tons of diapers!  I chose Pampers swaddlers based off of reviews from friends and family.

Once the twins arrive, and we’ve had a chance to actually use theses products, I plan on writing some sort of update/review on these products.

I had my 32 week check up yesterday and so far, so good, so fingers crossed all stays the same for a few more weeks 🙂

Cheers – MP
