The Weekend Post 10 – Now Including a Small Business Feature of the Week
……..a weekly recap that includes some retail, recipes, & small business support
In Case You Missed It
This week was all about preparing for the Nordstrom sale. It went live for cardmembers with Influencer status yesterday and I was kind of bummed when I woke up and the first thing I did was log into my Nordstrom account, pull up these boots and these heels, and they were both sold out in my size/color combo. What I plan on doing is watching the Nordstrom website to see if they are restocked. What happens most of the time is returns come and items are restocked…..so I’m not giving up hope just yet to get the twins these adorable boots 🙂

Retail Therapy
While the Nordstrom Sale is definitely all the rage right now, there are a lot of other really amazing deals going on from other retailers. J. Crew Factory is doing 50% – 60% off with code EVENBETTER, and while my brain is definitely transitioning into fall gear, these prices and my ever climbing electricity bill are bringing me right back to summer.
Frosé
Summer’s not over yet! Enjoy this frozen drink while lounging poolside. FYI, it definitely takes some prep time, so make sure to factor that in when making. Click here for the recipe.
Small Business Feature – Two Bean Soup
I am starting a new feature of the week that I will include in each of The Weekend Post blog posts starting this week. I think it is so so so important to support small business and want to put a spot light on some of the brands and businesses I have had the pleasure of working with.
I am kicking it off with Two Bean Soup who makes these AMAZING pullover towels! We’ve all seen the hooded towels for kiddos, but what makes these stand out is that they can still use their hands! Whether you are walking on the beach or by the pool, holding a drink or snack, or blankie, or alllllll the toys that a toddler needs to go from point A to point B, their hands are still free and they are still covered. Plus, the twins think it is so fun to put the towel over their head (I think they feel “big” because they can do it themselves!)
We were fortunate enough to get to try out these towels and after doing so, I highly recommend them. They are under $30, prints include everything from mermaids, donuts, bananas, rainbows, ocean animals, sea life, fish, and more!
Click here to shop to receive a 15% discount! The discount is already automatically applied when you shop through this link. If for some reason the discount doesn’t show in your cart, use code TOASTTOPOST15 to manually input the discount.
Insta
I share all of my daily life in stories on Instagram, so make sure you are following along! Everything from try-ons, foods I’m eating, my work outs, fun things the twins and I do, brand reviews, some work stuff, and a lot of me thinking out loud while walking Lola.
Also, I know a lot of people follow along on Facebook, but I don’t share everything to Facebook from Instagram, (stories, videos, and reels) so to see all of that content, you’ll need to check out Instagram. Reels are definitely getting all the attention right now, so be on the look out for more of those. FYI – a reel is a short 15 – 30 second video 🙂
Instagram is also a lot easier to see posts (IMO) because it is laid out in a grid format. Another benefit of using Instagram is the hashtag feature. You can search by a hashtag, and all the posts that include that hashtag will show up. I use this a lot when I travel to new destinations or when I am looking for things like #babyshowerideas or #toddlerbirthdayparty and things like that.
That’s all for today – I just finished a 6 mile run and need to hop in the shower and get started on planning the twins’ 3rd birthday! EEK! How is it already here???? The time has flown! Cheers – MP
