The Weekend Post 4
Episode 4
Happy Weekend! Please tell me you enjoyed that BEAUTIFUL spring day that we had yesterday! It was absolutely gorgeous and I was hoping for a repeat today, but it looks like the weather has a different idea. Fingers crossed the sun comes out later today. We enjoyed the day by having a fun picnic outside! If you remember from this post, I was super bummed we didn’t get to have our picnic a few weeks ago (due to spending all afternoon in the ATT store,) so when I finished with work yesterday afternoon, I knew we just HAD to enjoy the afternoon outside with plenty of fresh fruit and cheese! Here are a few things on my mind for the weekend – enjoy!
Easter Basket Goodies
I shared my Easter basket goodies in Insta stories the other day and linked most of the products on LiketoKnow.it. Click here and here to see all of the products. I’m still looking for something small to put inside of the eggs (instead of candy.) Send me ideas!
Not linked are the basket bows from The Bow Next Door and personalized bunnies from Sew Texan Goods. You should still have time to order the bunnies, however I think it’s too late for the basket bows (but remember this for next year π )
What I’m Baking
Typically I share a link for whatever is on the menu to bake, but I decided to go old school today and found a carrot cake cupcake recipe in one of my favorite cookbooks! Stay tuned. I had this grand idea of waking up early and baking them before the twins woke up, but that didn’t happen π With Easter next weekend, I think it will be fun to make the carrot cake cupcakes and pretend like they are for the bunnies!
From the Archives
I loved writing this post back in June of 2020. There are some people who can function off of less than 6 or 7 hours of sleep a night, but I am not one of them. My sleep is very important to me. I am not talking about sleeping all day or for 12 hours straight or anything like that, but getting a good quality 7 – 8 hours of sleep a night is crucial for my attitude, productivity, and ability to think clear.

The Avenue
I recently discovered the OnlyOnTheAvenue.com website and have quickly become obsessed. Okay, so, complete honesty, most of the items are way out of the price point that I can afford, but everything is just beautiful and it is giving me so many different ideas!
Like this gingham flatware!
And these couple glasses, that are actually on sale for $29 a piece π
And this handpainted pitcher
Loft Sale
I love Loft and feel like I’ve neglected it lately. I did try to go into my local store one evening last week at 6:15 pm and it had closed at 6:00 pm. And tbh, the last time I was in the store before that was several months before and they didn’t seem to have a good selection of clothing items. I think, probably like most retail stores, they have taken a huge hit due to COVID. If you followed along back when I was working in the office, you probably saw that MOST of my workwear wardrobe is from Loft. I did a quick scan of the Loft website this morning and was pleasantly surprised – not just because of the adorable spring looks I found, but also because they are doing 40% off plus free shipping. We were in a roundabout, super vaguely way informed we “might” be returning to the office in late June, and these white loafers have caught my eye! They are gorgeous and would look so good in the office, but also out of the office as well (think brunch, at the coast, or girls’ night!)
